                                               President and CEO

EDUCATION:                              BSME, University of Pittsburgh – 1965

MBA, Western New England College – 1969

Mr. Tillman is a mechanical engineer, holding both a Batchelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.  He began his career with the Hamilton Standard Division of the former United Aircraft Corporation located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.  He is trained and familiar with aircraft ECS (environmental control systems).

In 1971 Mr. Tillman joined the former Miller-Picking Corporation, Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where he ultimately served as National Sales Manager in charge of preliminary design and sales of custom heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) units.  During his tenure at Miller-Picking, the regional firm expanded nationally, ultimately working with Manufacturer’s representatives from coast-to-coast.  Miller-Picking was an industry leader in innovative design, manufacture, and servicing of high performance direct expansion and chilled water air conditioning machines.

Being familiar with the operation of manufacturer’s representative operations, Mr. Tillman and family relocated to Houston, Texas in 1977 and was employed as a field sales engineer by a local firm.  In 1981, Mr. Tillman incorporated the firm now bearing his name and has operated the same continuously since that date.  The firm has been profitable since the outset and now forms the basis of a group of companies founded and closely held by Mr. Tillman, his family, and valued associates.

Besides being trained as an HVAC design engineer for custom units and systems, Mr. Tillman and his firm have been heavily involved in high efficiency air filtration, being responsible for clean room, hospital, and pharmaceutical air systems.   In that regard, Mr. Tillman holds several US patents for state-of-the-art air filtration units.  Improving indoor air quality (IAQ) for building occupants continues to be one of his personal goals.

When ultraviolet (UVC) fixtures were introduced to the HVAC industry in the mid 1990’s Mr. Tillman and colleagues were quick to see the efficacy of this game-changing technology for cleaning cooling coils, air conditioning ducts and contaminated surfaces of all types.  To that end, Tillman and Associates, Inc., is the exclusive Texas representative for Isolate, Inc., a manufacturing firm also founded by Mr. Tillman, which combines the UVC/HEPA product for medical use as well as bio-weapon mitigation.

Mr. Tillman is also heavily involved in the application and sale of explosion-proof HVAC products used to serve both the oil and petro-chemical industries, domestically and worldwide.  Given that Houston is home-base for this firm, Mr. Tillman and colleagues are actively serving many of the industry needs for XP equipment from this venue.
